Day 3 - Sighisoara to Sibiu: Biertan fortified church, Sibiu tour

Continuing your journey, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local copper craftsman in a nearby village. Please note that availability for this visit cannot be guaranteed due to the family’s personal program, but we will do our best to arrange it for you.
After this unique encounter, you’ll make your way to the charming town of Sibiu. Embark on a captivating walking tour of the old town and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Admire the medieval fortifications, stroll through the bustling squares, and cross the iconic Liars Bridge.

Day 4 - Sibiu to Bucharest: Drive across the Carpathian Mountains & return to Bucharest
On your final day of this unforgettable journey, you have two options depending on the time of the year.
From July to October, get ready for an exhilarating drive along the legendary Transfagarasan Road. As you traverse the winding mountainous route, be prepared to be awe-struck by the breathtaking scenery that unfolds before your eyes. This iconic road, famously featured on the renowned TV show “Top Gear” with Jeremy Clarkson calling it “the best Road in the world“, offers panoramic views, dramatic twists and turns, and an unforgettable driving experience.
For those traveling between November and June, we will take an equally captivating route. You’ll embark on a scenic drive via the picturesque Olt River Gorge, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, we will make a stop at the magnificent Cozia Monastery, known for its stunning architecture and spiritual significance. Explore the monastery’s intricate details and discover the stories behind its rich history.
Whichever route you embark upon, rest assured that your journey will be filled with memorable moments and captivating sights.
The tour will conclude as we arrive back in Bucharest in the evening, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel.
Note: Availability of driving on the Transfagarasan Road is subject to weather conditions and road closures. In the event that the road is inaccessible, we will take the alternative route via Olt River Gorge as described above.

What are the payment and cancellation policies for this tour?
To secure a multi-day tour with us, a €100 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will only be due 20 days before your arrival in Romania. We offer a flexible cancellation policy: the deposit is fully refundable up to 14 days prior to your tour. After that, 20% of the booking value becomes non-refundable.
